ABOUT

Frontrunner, located at the crossroads of TriBeCa and Chinatown, is a new addition to NYC’s downtown art scene.  Our studios include a gallery, creative production facility, storefront, and publishing wing. Frontrunner positions itself as a leader in the new media environment. With a focus on grassroots work, multimedia performances, gallery events, independent thinkers, and new work, Frontrunner is a community for engaging and provocative art, social commentary, and music.

FOUNDERS

Frontrunner was founded in the fall of 2009 by social architect Michael Fasciano and filmmaker Edward Symes.  The company began as an online magazine for the work of friends and colleagues.

PUBLISHING

First the magazine was published quarterly, the online medium allowed for written, video, and photo coverage of political, new media, creative, and business stories.  Frontrunner began releasing a short series of art zines, catalogs, sound tapes, and photo books.

CREATIVE TEAM

Frontrunner is at the core a group of talented filmmakers, photographers, designers, strategists, and great writers.  This team extends to art producers and curators who have held art events internationally.  Frontrunner maintains relationships with exhibiting artists, musicians, choreographers for commercial projects at Frontrunner Studio.
